Swvl's booking flow was the core conversion journey for riders finding and booking daily commutes.
Role
Redesigned smart search, saved places, search results, trip cards, and booking confirmation. Used user testing and interviews to prioritise the information riders cared about most: trip time, arrival time, walking distance, drop-off walking time, and price.

Role

Used ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, and Notion AI to generate copy variants, explore page layouts, critique visual hierarchy, summarise research, produce UI ideas, and create implementation prompts.

At Swvl, I joined as the first product designer and helped build the design function during the company's scale-up. I grew and managed an 8-person design team, established hiring processes, role definitions, design reviews, critiques, sprint planning, retrospectives, 1:1s, OKRs, learning plans, and a design career ladder.
I also led the team's migration from Sketch and Zeplin to Figma in 2018, improving real-time collaboration, design visibility, version control, and developer handoff across squads.

I use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, and Notion AI to accelerate copy exploration, page layout ideas, UX microcopy, research synthesis, accessibility checks, frontend prototypes, and design-to-code handoff.
My approach keeps human QA, brand consistency, user needs, accessibility, and implementation quality at the centre. AI speeds up the iteration loop — it doesn't replace the designer's judgement.
